Introduction

Genesis:-

Col (Retd) Narne Ranga Rao, M/S Narne Estate Private Limited, had once gone to meet Late Mr. NT Rama Rao, CM of Andhra Pradesh, regarding some amendments to the land rules. Late Mr. NT Rama Rao, advised Col Ranga Rao to approach him through a Association/ organization. He explained that it will be almost impossible for the Secretariat to deal with all individual builders/ promoters. Thus was sown the seeds of Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Developers Association (APREDA). The association was registered with the Office of registrar of Societies, Hyderabad on 7th April 1995.and obtained certificate No 224/95. The office was established at a rented house in Plot No 46, UBI colony, Road No 3, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad- 34.

The following were the initial office bearers:-

(a) Col (Retd) Narne Ranga Rao, M/S Narne Estates- PRESEDENT
(b) Mr. MV Krishna Reddy, M/S Venkateswara Builders- Vice President.
(c) Mr. Murali Mohan, M/S Jayabheri Group- Secretary.
(d) Mr. V Ravindra Rao, M/S Keshav Estates- Joint Secretary.
(e) Mr. G Punna Rao, M/S GPR Housing Pvt Ltd – Joint Secretary.
(f) Mr. D Suresh, M/S Durga Estates – Treasurer

A set of strict Bye-laws were made and regular meetings were held. The initial Membership admission fee was fixed at Rs.10, 000/- (Corpus) and Annual subscription of Rs. 2,500/-.

MEMBERSHIP/ELIGIBILITY

The Membership is restricted to all those who are engaged in the activities of promoting / or developing real estate in the state of A.P. and also person(s) or establishment(s) whose activities are incidental to or connected with the promotion & development of reality business directly and who are in the business activity for a minimum period of 3 years and completed at least 2 ventures. The applicant must have a registered form. The decision of the Governing Council Committee in its Governing Council meeting to be held once in a month, preferably on every 2nd Tuesday of the month, in accepting or rejecting the application is final without assigning any reason.

Membership is by invitation and not by application alone and it is subject to scrutiny and approval by the Governing Council Committee of the association, and the Association is welfare association of its members. The branch constituted or formed as per the Rules & Regulations and Bye-laws, here under shall be entitled to nominate one member, from out of the Governing Council who is in good standing with a reasonable experience as their authorized representative to the general body of the main APREDA.

There are 2 – types of membership:-

(a) Life Membership (One time payment only) - Rs. 2, 00,000/-
(b) Annual Membership - Rs. 60,000/-

Note: - A sum of Rs. 10,000/- to be paid annually in April / May, towards
Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC)
